How to Get Rid of Blackheads

Blackheads are small plugs of sebum that develops in the opening of the hair follicle of skin. The pores get clogged with a combination of dead skin cells and extra oil particles called sebum from sebaceous glands. Blackheads have an open surface that leads to creating oxidation that is dark in color. Before knowing how to get rid of blackheads, let’s understand its causes.

Causes of blackheads

2. Oily skin is more prone to blackheads as it accumulates more dirt, oil, and bacteria, but it is not that if anyone has dry skin, they won’t have blackheads.

How to get rid of blackheads

1.  Cleansing-

it’s the fundamental part of every procedure. Cleansing the face will help to get rid of excess oils. Wash face twice a day. And more important is to clean face before going to sleep as it is essential to remove the makeup layer because the makeup clogs the pore.

2. Salicylic acid srub-

For mild blackheads, try a salicylic acid scrub. It is beneficial to get rid of blackheads as it can penetrate the skin at a deeper level and breakdown the connection between skin cells and prevent blackheads.

3. Use of baking soda-

Baking soda is a free finding kitchen item. It helps to neutralize the pH balance of the skin and remove dirt, pollutants on the skin. Mix the same ratio of baking soda and water to formulate a smooth paste, massage on face and rinse with lukewarm water. Don’t forget to moisturize the skin after drying.

4. Sugar, honey, and lemon juice mixture help to get rid of blackheads on the skin. Mix 2 tablespoon of sugar with one tablespoon of honey with two tablespoons of lemon juice and mix it, and massage it with a circular motion for five minutes.

5. Tea tree oil-

You can use tea tree oil directly to the affected areas to help blackheads. It soothes to kill bacterias and smooths the skin also moisturizes. Tea tree oil is easily available in many products like face wash, soaps, and cream or as an essential oil.

6. Kasturi Turmeric masks-

Use turmeric to remove blackheads as it has antifungal and anti-inflammatory properties rather than regular turmeric Kasturi turmeric is more helpful. Take one tablespoon of Kasturi turmeric and mix it with rosewater or coconut oil to form a paste. Apply the paste on the affected area and let it sit for 10 minutes and rinse with warm water.

7. Eggwhite peel-

Eggwhite mask is a natural mask for reducing blackheads. It is more accessible and more beneficial. You need egg white and a tissue. First, whisk the egg white and apply it to your skin. Then add a layer of tissue over it and again, another layer of egg white. Avoid eyes. Let it dry, and after that, peel it off. Once you understand how to get rid of blackheads using this procedure, you will never worry about it again.

8. Clay and vinegar-

Clay is beneficial for absorbing excess oils, and vinegar helps to fade the dark color caused by blackheads. You just need to take two tablespoons of clay and mix it with vinegar until it creates a thick paste. Apply on blackhead affected area. Leave it 15-20 minutes. Rinse with warm water and apply ice cubes to get rid of blackheads.

Though the cleanup face is an essential part of getting rid of blackheads, moisturizing also the most important thing, it helps to soothe the skin and close the open pores. Don’t forget to moisturize the skin as it will help to prevent skin from pollutants and blackheads.
